I spent the last week in the Colorado Rockies, running a six-day, 115-mile stage race at high altitude. Since the race requires everyone to stay with a teammate, I completed the journey with my friend and running partner Caroline. Upon finishing the mountain runs each day, we soaked in ice cold streams, sprawled in the Colorado sunshine, and socialized with fellow runners. Each night, we slept in a tent city. Many call TransRockies “running camp for adults,” and the title proved fitting.
During the week, I blogged about the adventure for iRunFar.com. Here’s a link to my final piece, which sums up the race and the overall experience.
